District Festival is Friday and Saturday, March 7 & 8, 2008 at Southwest Virginia Community College in Richlands Virginia, hosted by Richlands High School.

Here are the percussion requirements for band sightreading:
Grade 2 – snare drum, bass drum, triangle, bells
Grade 3 – snare drum, bass drum, crash cymbals, triangle, bells, 2 timpani (29” and 26”)
Grade 4 – snare drum, bass drum, crash cymbals, susp. cymbal, bells, 3 timpani (32”, 29” and 26”
Grade 5 – snare drum, bass drum, crash cymbals, susp. cymbal, triangle, tambourine, bells, 4 timpani (32”, 29” 26” and 23”)

After you enter the main entrance to the college, take the first left going up the hill. This is the main parking lot for the Community Center.  Buses may drop off students at the door and park at the end of the lot that is opposite the tennis courts.
