Rick Galyean called meeting to order on February 3, 2001 at Galax High School.

Motion:            Waive the reading of the minutes. Motion was seconded and passed.

Confirmation of 2001and 2002 events:

All District Tryouts:       John S. Battle High School – December 8, 2001

Jr. High All District:       Richlands High School – January 25 & 26, 2002

Sr. High All District:      Grayson County High School – February 1 & 2, 2002

Concert Festival:           Virginia High School – March 22 & 23, 2002

Solo and Ensemble Festival:      Area I –    J I Burton High School

                                                Area II -   Holston High School

                                                Area III -  Carroll County

Manuel Fees must be paid or you do not participate in Concert Festival or Solo& Ensemble Festival. 

Starting Times for concerts:       Jr. All District – 5:00PM

                                                Sr. All District – 6:00PM

This business was not brought up in a motion and voted.  We clarified but the minutes of February 4, 2000 say that their was a motion and voted by the district for 6:00pm for both concerts.

New Business:  

Directors will be asked to sign up for a time to work for Jr. & Sr. All District to help the clinician if needed.

Committee for a District VII website:  Uley Daniels, Riley Pugh, Donny Riddle, Tom
Springer, Rick Galyean, and Dale Hedrick.

Motion:            Adjourn the Meeting.  Seconded and passed.
